Removal and reinstall

Need a new roof? We remove and reinstall solar panels.

Roofers won't touch the panels, and the company that installed them may be gone. We take the system down, keep it safe while the roof is done, put it back and make sure it's producing again.

  • Any brand, any original installer
  • Coordinated with your roofer's schedule
  • Panels and wiring checked before they go back up
  • System tested and monitoring confirmed afterwards

How it works

  1. We visit and document the system: panel layout, racking, wiring, inverter and any damage already there.
  2. Removal, usually a day for a typical home, timed with your roofer.
  3. The roof goes on. We can advise your roofer on flashing the new mounts properly, which is where most leaks under solar start.
  4. Reinstall, re-commission and test. We confirm the system is producing what it should and that your monitoring works.

It's also the right moment to fix anything the old installer got wrong or to add a battery.

How it works

  1. Tell us what's wrong. Two minutes on the form above.
  2. We call you. We'll ask about your system and set up a visit.
  3. We find the problem and quote the fix before any work starts.
  4. Your panels make power again. No more paying for a system that sits there.

We work on systems other companies abandoned

When an installer goes out of business, the homeowner is often left with no one to call: no monitoring, no workmanship warranty, sometimes a permit that never got its final inspection. The panels and inverters themselves usually still carry the manufacturer's warranty, and we can help you use it.

Common questions

Can my roofer remove the solar panels?

Most roofers won't, and shouldn't: the system is live electrical equipment. A solar installer removes and reinstalls it, and coordinates with the roofer's schedule.

How long are the panels off the roof?

Typically removal takes a day, the roofing takes its usual time, and reinstall and testing take another day. Your system is off for the duration.

My original installer is out of business. Can you still do it?

Yes. We remove and reinstall systems from any installer and any brand, and we document the system first so you know what you have.
