Solar panel inspection and system health check
Buying a home with panels on it? Bill crept back up? Installer gone and you're not sure what you've got? We inspect the system, check the permit history and tell you plainly what it's worth and what it needs.

- Wiring, racking, inverter and roof penetrations
- Permit and utility approval history
- Warranty status and who to claim from
Book an inspection
Tell us about the system. We'll call you, usually within one business day.
When to get one
- You're buying a house with solar. Find out if the system is owned or leased, whether it was ever permitted and approved, and whether it actually works, before closing.
- Your bill went back up. Panels degrade slowly; a sudden change usually means a failed inverter, a tripped disconnect or monitoring that went offline and hid a problem. More on why panels stop working.
- Your installer is gone. You need someone to take over service, and the first step is knowing what's on the roof. What to do when your solar company closes.
- It's been years. Loose connections, critter damage and failing optimizers are common on systems from the 2014 to 2018 wave.
How it works
- Tell us what's wrong. Two minutes on the form above.
- We call you. We'll ask about your system and set up a visit.
- We find the problem and quote the fix before any work starts.
- Your panels make power again. No more paying for a system that sits there.
We work on systems other companies abandoned
When an installer goes out of business, the homeowner is often left with no one to call: no monitoring, no workmanship warranty, sometimes a permit that never got its final inspection. The panels and inverters themselves usually still carry the manufacturer's warranty, and we can help you use it.
Common questions
What does a solar inspection include?
A production check against what the system should make, the wiring, racking, inverter and roof penetrations, the permit and utility approval history, and the warranty status of the equipment.
I'm buying a house with solar. What should I check?
Whether the system is owned, leased or financed, whether it was permitted and approved by the utility, whether it is producing, and who services it. We can inspect it before closing.
How can I tell if my solar is producing what it should?
Compare your monitoring app or inverter display with your electric bill. If monitoring is offline or the bill went back up, something changed. An inspection pins down what.
