Freedom Forever filed for Chapter 11 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware on April 15, 2026 (Solar Power World). On July 31, 2026, it told the court it would seek to convert the case to Chapter 7 liquidation and let most remaining employees go. For homeowners, that means the installer's workmanship warranty and service are unlikely to continue.
